When i was a freelancer, I came across some very good resources that I thought I should share here.
As we all know that Graphics are very important for any website, however, it is very hard to use google images or similar tools to find images that you can use on your website. This is because they will most likely have some form of copyright that prohibits you from doing so. Sure, you can pay for graphics on a stock images website, but why pay when you have such quality free alternatives.
The websites below all contain graphics/images that have commercial commons license.
1. Pixabay
Pixabay is my favourite from this list. It has an absolutely massive high quality library that you can search, through it’s easy to use interface. You can search for images, vectors and even videos.
2. Barn images
Barn Images is a great alternative to Pixabay, however the search isn’t as extensive. But you can search through keywords and categories. You’ll be surprised how some of the content on this website is free.
3. Unsplash
Unsplash is another great website that you can search through images. With 10 new free photos everyday, it is ever growing.
4. Iconfinder
Iconfinder is a different kind of website to the others on this list. As you can guess from it’s name, this website is for icons. It has both stock icons as well as icons that have the CC0 license, simply filter the license when using it’s search engine.
